Job summary

System One is seeking an experienced Animal Research Technician to join our team in Athens, GA on a contract, onsite basis. The role focuses on animal husbandry, daily care, health observations, documentation, and adherence to study protocols.

Responsibilities include supporting necropsies, maintaining facility hygiene, and following biosafety guidelines while working with laboratory animals. A HS diploma and prior animal handling experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow SOPs and document actions accurately.
• Ability to recognize and communicate animal health concerns.

Responsibilities

• Perform animal husbandry and health care per protocols and guidelines.
• Provide daily animal care, health observations, and samples collection.
• Work in a laboratory animal setting under Biosafety Level 1/2.
• May guide junior members and participate on site committees.
