Job summary

Sioux Falls School District's Career & Technology Education Academy seeks an Agriculture Education Support Professional to assist with hands-on learning and maintain facilities for the agriculture program. This 0.875 FTE role supports students and instructors in a dynamic educational environment.

The position emphasizes reliability, willingness to learn, and collaboration with staff, with training provided for equipment and facilities. Work hours are Monday–Friday with a 60-minute lunch break.

Qualifications

• Two years of post high school education or higher, or pass a state-approved test for Education Support Professional positions.
• Previous agricultural experience is preferred but not required; training provided for equipment and facilities.
• Demonstrated reliability and ability to work with students to support a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily care and feeding of animals.
• Maintain greenhouse, grounds and agricultural facilities.
• Operate and maintain agricultural equipment after training.
• Prepare instructional materials, labs and equipment for classes.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning environment for students and staff.
• Support and supervise students during activities and hands-on learning.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of labs and projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
