Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma, or GED, and at least five years of recent verifiable work experience in the field of Agriculture or a related field.
  • Teaching and/or training classroom experience preferred.
  • Candidate should demonstrate strong organizational, communication, human relations, instructional, classroom management, team and public relations/community skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 7th–12th grade Agriculture skills and knowledge.
  • Design sequential instruction and learning activities to meet goals.
  • Prepare daily lesson plans and maintain positive classroom management.
  • Assist students in obtaining industry-relevant skills.
  • Coordinate with supervisor, advisory committee and teachers to prepare students for successful completion.
  • Engage with businesses for student employment opportunities.
