Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in a machining environment, using metalworking tools, primarily lathes and mills, and CNC / G-code.
• Must hold or apply for and attain a VDOE Teaching License for high school instruction.
• Must become NIMS Level 1 certified within six months of hire.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to develop syllabi, exams, and learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Teach and implement curricula including high school and accelerated workforce training.
• Coordinate work-based learning activities and apprenticeships.
• Engage with regional employers to grow the machining program.
• Support program and course outcomes through assessments and student credential attainment.
