Job summary

ST BERNARDS HAND & WRIST CENTER in Jonesboro is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide dedicated surgical, hospital, and ED support for the Hand Surgeon. The PA serves as first assistant in the operating room and participates in inpatient rounds and perioperative care.

The role requires graduation from an AMA-approved PA program, NCCPA certification, Arkansas license, and ACLS certification; surgical/hand experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification.
• Licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Medicine and ACLS certified.
• Preferred: surgical/hand experience and first-assist experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room as first assistant for hand procedures.
• Perform inpatient rounds, evaluate ED and consults, and assist perioperative care.
• Provide patient counseling and education within scope of practice.
