Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our orthopedics team focused on the hand, wrist, and elbow. This full-time role includes clinic duties and dedicated OR time for first assists.

The ideal candidate will have orthopedic or hand experience, a Florida license, CPR, and excellent clinical and communication skills to support patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active Florida PA-C or ARNP license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
• Current CPR certification.
• Orthopedic, surgical, or hand and upper extremity experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions and injuries.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and other clinical tests.
• Administer injections, prescribe medications, and provide non-operative treatment options.
• Assist in the management of fractures, tendon injuries, nerve compression syndromes, arthritis, and other hand and wrist conditions.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Participate in Operating Room (OR) time as First Assist for hand and upper extremity surgical procedures.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Respond to patient questions, triage clinical concerns, and provide ongoing education.
