Job summary

Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster (OAL) seeks a full-time Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join our Hand & Wrist team. The PA will work with three hand/wrist surgeons and support the Hand Therapy Department across five locations, including Lancaster and Lebanon campuses.

The role includes independent clinical scheduling, surgical first-assist duties in our ambulatory center or local hospitals, and periodic on-call coverage with additional compensation. ACLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Experience in outpatient evaluation and management.
• Current ACLS Certification.
• Orthopedics experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the physician in identifying, treating, and managing orthopedic problems.
• Serve as the first assist in surgery.
• Assist physicians in the office with histories, review of records, and EMR documentation.
• Examine and treat orthopedic patients, including injections and reductions.
• Educate and counsel patients and families, developing a treatment plan.
• Maintain ongoing knowledge to meet licensure requirements and duties.
• Take call shifts several times per month with on-call duties compensated.
