Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist to provide specialized rehabilitation for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. You will evaluate patients, develop recovery plans, and fabricate custom orthoses, while educating patients on proper orthosis wear and precautions.

You will lead and mentor OT staff and collaborate with hand surgeons and physicians to optimize care. A Bachelor's degree is required and a DPT/OT is preferred; CPR/BLS certification is implied by

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop plan of care for hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder rehab.
• Provide therapeutic interventions appropriate to age and disability.
• Document delivery of occupational therapy services.
• Direct and supervise OT assistants, students, and support staff.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom hand orthoses and splints.
• Educate patients on orthosis wear, care, and precautions.
• Treat post-surgical and injury rehab cases including scar management and edema control.
• Collaborate with hand surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and case discussions.
