Job summary

Maryland Orthopedic Specialists in Bethesda/Rockville is seeking a Hand Therapist experienced in upper-extremity rehabilitation, preferably a Certified Hand Therapist or candidate preparing for the CHT exam. Proficiency in splint/orthosis fabrication is desired.

The role includes direct patient care, evaluations, collaboration with hand physicians, and ongoing education. There is up to a $10k sign-on bonus and a competitive compensation package including salary and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program.
• State licensure as an OT or PT in Maryland.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
• Experience fabricating upper extremity orthoses.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care with documentation in medical records.
• Performs evaluations to determine appropriate course of care.
• Administers hand therapy treatments and monitors progress.
• Collaborates with hand physicians for coordinated patient care.
• Documents CPT codes and submits billing accurately.
• Complies with all insurance guidelines and regulatory requirements.
