Job summary
Maryland Orthopedic Specialists (MOS) is seeking a skilled Hand Therapist for our Bethesda/Rockville locations. Preference for a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or candidate preparing for the CHT exam, with proficiency in splint/orthosis fabrication. A sign-on bonus up to $10k is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications
- A degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy program.
- State licensure as an OT or PT in the practicing state.
- CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience and proficiency with computers and electronic medical records.
- Experience and proficiency fabricating, adjusting, and fitting upper extremity orthoses.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a decentralized organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care 100% of work time with documentation in medical records.
- Performs comprehensive evaluations to determine appropriate care plan; may involve orthosis fabrication.
- Administers hand therapy treatments to reduce pain and improve ROM and strength.
- Supervises therapists, assistants, and students as applicable.
- Documents treatments and outcomes; ensures coding aligns with care provided.
