Job summary

Triumph Group is seeking a Hand Finisher/Deburr (Parts Mark) for the Macomb, MI site. The role focuses on deburring aircraft gears and complex housings, performing sand blasting, heat treat preparation, and visual inspection in accordance with the Deburr Department and Parts Marking procedures.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, operate hand tools and deburring equipment, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while meeting print specifications and traceability requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience deburring aircraft gears and housings preferred.
• Lean manufacturing familiarity beneficial.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Able to use hand tools for Parts Marking serial numbers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Remove burrs and sharp edges from machined parts using hand tools and grinders.
• Operate deburring machines, polishers, part washers and sandblasters when needed.
• Ensure products conform to print specifications by following instructions.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Deburr metal parts by breaking sharp edges using various methods.
• Complete paperwork for traceability of product build.
• Use hand-held tools for marking serial numbers.
• Other duties as assigned.
