Job summary

Triumph Geared Solutions – Macomb is seeking a Hand Finisher/Deburr (Parts Mark) to deburr aircraft gears and housings, perform sand blasting, heat treat prep and visual inspection. You will follow the operations manual to ensure high-quality results.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, and maintaining safety and traceability paperwork. A high school diploma is required, with preferred experience in aerospace deburring and lean manufacturing concepts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in deburring aircraft gears and housings preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement beneficial.
• Ability to use hand tools for Parts Marking serial numbers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Use portable air grinders, electric motors with mandrels, files and other hand tools to remove burrs from parts.
• Operate deburring machines, polishers, part washers and sandblasters as needed.
• Ensure product conformance to print specifications by following manufacturing instructions.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Deburr metal parts by breaking sharp edges on all surfaces.
• Complete required paperwork for traceability of product build.
• Use hand-held tools such as files, scrapers, buffers, wire brushes and grit paper.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
