Job summary

Qualifications

- Knowledge of vacuum, cryogenic and controls systems.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on vacuum pumps, turbos, readout gauges and maintain spares.
- Become familiar with Hall C vacuum, cryogenic and controls systems and their operation sufficient to shut down and restart vacuum, LCW and other Hall C infrastructure equipment.
- Work on all vacuum and mechanical aspects in the installation and decommissioning of experimental setup in Hall C.
- Provide technical support for staff, users, and college students conducting research.
- On call support to support the running of experiments.
- Assist with the operational readiness of Hall C during experiments.
