Job summary

Sally Beauty Holdings, LLC is seeking a Certified Color Consultant for our Fredericksburg, VA store. You will be the hair color expert, conducting personalized color consultations and guiding customers to the right products to boost sales and loyalty.

In this non-exempt, full-time role, you’ll perform daily store operations, support the team, participate in loss prevention and safety practices, train new associates, and stay current on trends to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ year retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and management in a clear, concise manner.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to execute product knowledge from training to support with customer service.
• Ability to explain product labels.
• Can follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
• Comprehensive knowledge of iPad and navigation of the internet and social media platforms.
• Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public.

Responsibilities

• Introduce every customer to the Hair Color category, providing color consultations and selling to drive brand leadership.
• Record all sales in the POS and handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Support planograms, stock, shipments, and housekeeping duties; may open/close the store.
• Provide onboarding and training support to new associates; mentor others as needed.
• Stay current on hair color trends; participate in training programs and safety practices.
