Job summary

SBH is seeking a Certified Color Consultant to drive hair color sales and create exceptional in-store experiences for DIY enthusiasts. You will consult on color choices, build relationships with customers, and promote Sally Beauty's brand leadership in color.

In this non-exempt, retail position, you will manage transactions, assist with merchandising, training of new associates, and uphold safety procedures while delivering expert product knowledge and personalized service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ year retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and management in a clear, concise manner.
• Must be available to meet the scheduling needs of the business.
• Ability to execute product knowledge from training to support with customer service.
• Ability to explain product labels.
• Can follow direction and perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
• Comprehensive knowledge of iPad and navigation of the internet and social media platforms.
• Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide an optimal customer experience and achieve hair color goals.
• Introduce customers to the Hair Color category and offer color consultations.
• Support the team with daily operations and loss prevention practices.
• Record transactions accurately in POS and handle returns/exchanges.
• Assist with planograms and store housekeeping as needed.
• Mentor associates to elevate hair color knowledge.
