Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Hair Color Bar Assistant in Summit, NJ who will support licensed colorists and the shift lead. You’ll learn services, assist with shampoos and blowouts, and help guests choose the best color while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

The role offers growth toward becoming a licensed colorist and includes base pay, commissions, and tips. Reporting to the Manager, the position may be full or part time and requires availability at peak times to serve guest needs.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• Entry level customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Effective communication and problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable operating POS systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to provide a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Assist in behind-the-chair services such as shampooing, finishing services, and basic styling.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail and services.
• Ensure cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security of the Hair Color Bar.
• Adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures.
• Support revenue growth through memberships, subscriptions, and product sales.
