Job summary

253 Food Ingredients Technology Company, L.L.C. is seeking a HACCP Laboratory Technician to support critical control point activities and ensure HACCP compliance across QA labs in Anniston, Alabama.

The role requires a science degree or ongoing study, strong HACCP knowledge, data-entry accuracy, and ability to work with USDA personnel in extreme temperatures during a 7-on/7-off night schedule. Benefits start day one with health coverage and 401k options.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Science preferred.
• Enrollment in BS with hours > Associate degree.
• Associate Degree with MLT/ASCP certification required.
• At least 4 college courses in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or Food Science/Technology.
• Experience in a food or medical laboratory.
• LIMS experience is a plus.
• Able to perform HACCP data, chemistry and microbiology analysis.
• Mathematical skills: basic, algebraic.

Responsibilities

• Perform HACCP program tasks including CCP auditing, monitoring, verifying, and documentation.
• Completing, reviewing, and filing of all associated documentation.
• Conducting HACCP related system and equipment calibrations/verifications.
• Maintain knowledge of FITCO HACCP plans and supporting programs.
• Collaborate across departments including USDA interactions.
• Work in extreme temperatures and high/ confined areas.
• Assist Chemistry Lab and Micro Lab as needed.
• Enter data accurately on documentation and systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
