Actalent is seeking a Lab Technician to set up, operate, and maintain analytical instruments in a chemical manufacturing environment. The role involves testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, with strict documentation and calibration duties.

The candidate should thrive in a rotating shift and a hands-on lab setting. The position is based in Theodore, AL and is contract-based, offering a 3‑2‑3 rotating shift pattern and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in analytical or industrial lab settings.
• Familiarity with GC, titration, pH measurement and related techniques.
• Ability to maintain accurate lab records in written and electronic formats.
• Knowledge of GMP and QC processes within lab/production.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate lab equipment and instrumentation.
• Test raw materials, in-process samples, and final products against specifications.
• Record and maintain test results in logs, databases, or LIMS.
• Calibrate instruments and maintain calibration records.
• Write clear test reports on procedures and results.
• Troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment to minimize downtime.
• Collect samples from production under safety protocols.
