Job summary

Serco is seeking a Cognitive Performance Specialist to support the U.S. Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness program. The CPS will develop and coordinate mental readiness and cognitive optimization for Soldiers and teams in military settings.

The role requires advanced degrees in relevant fields, 3+ years as a mental performance coach, and the ability to travel as needed. The position emphasizes collaboration with health professionals and ongoing professional development within the H2F team.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Human Performance, Sport Psychology, or related field.
• Three years of experience as a mental performance coach or sport psychology practitioner.
• Licensure as psychologist with sports psychology proficiency or CMPC certification eligibility within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mental Readiness Programs across the brigade.
• Collaborate with the Mental Readiness Director on program assessment and improvement.
• Develop and implement cognitive performance optimization and mental readiness training within the brigade schedule.
• Provide education, coaching, and mentoring to Soldiers on cognitive skills and mental readiness strategies.
• Coordinate scheduling of facilities and resources for government-approved courses and training.
• Conduct literature reviews to keep the H2F Performance Team updated with evidence-based research.
• Support research efforts and provide data and feedback to leadership.
