Job summary

ProHealth Partners is seeking a Temporary Front Office Medical Assistant for its Long Beach clinic. The role supports front desk tasks, patient check-in, and insurance verification in a Gynecology-focused setting. Hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm, with pay at $23-24/hr; part-time to full-time, temporary.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of front office experience in a clinical setting.
• Bilingual, preferred.
• Gynecology experience, preferred.
• Organized and patient-focused.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients.
• Verify insurance coverage and demographic information.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments and follow-up visits.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Collect co-pays and patient balances; process payments.
• Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records requests.
• Monitor patient flow and communicate wait times professionally.
• Complete daily administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and stocking front desk supplies.
