Job summary

The University of Miami invites applications for an Instructor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine with a subspecialty focus in Gynecologic Pathology. The successful candidate will serve as expert diagnostic authority and provide clinical and academic leadership within the Department.

Qualifications

• Must be an MD/DO or equivalent with board certification/eligibility in AP or AP/CP with Gynecologic Pathology subspecialty.
• Licensed to practice in Florida or eligible for Florida MFC under institutional licensure.
• Demonstrated advanced expertise with scholarly activity and clinical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert Gynecologic Pathology diagnostic services for UMH, JMH, Sylvester Cancer Center and affiliates.
• Perform gross examination, histology interpretation and integrated reporting with appropriate ancillary studies.
• Lead in intraoperative frozen sections and multidisciplinary tumor boards.
• Deliver educational lectures and advanced instruction to students, residents, fellows and faculty.
• Contribute to departmental quality assurance, accreditation efforts, and HIPAA compliance.
