Job summary

Levine Cancer Institute, part of Advocate Health Care, is seeking an LPN for a full-time role serving patients at Ballantyne and Pineville locations in the Charlotte area. The position supports gynecologic oncology care within a multidisciplinary team, with 40 hours per week and M-F 8:00 to 4:30 schedules.

Pay range shown reflects hourly compensation between $24.10 and $36.15. The LPN will work closely with physicians and advanced practice providers, perform clinical tasks, administer

Qualifications

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport and maintain professional relationships with patients, staff and physicians.
• Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigating Windows, and use of electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting pertinent health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures (e.g., strep test, wound culture, specimen collection) using aseptic technique and infection-control guidelines.
• Assists physician/provider with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams and other tests.
• Administers medications under physician/provider orders, including immunizations, antibiotics and other agents.
• Initiates, maintains and discontinues IV therapy within scope, administering fluids with meds.
• Provides patient education on tasks, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinates referrals, test requests, prescription refills and follow-up appointments with other facilities.
