Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join Levine Cancer Institute, supporting gynecologic oncology care at Ballantyne and Pineville locations. You will work with physicians and advanced practice providers to prepare patients, perform procedures, administer medications, and educate patients while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role requires a valid LPN license, BLS certification, and completion of a PN program.

Qualifications

• LPN license required in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days unless exempt.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients, document vital signs and health information.
• Perform lab procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries including pelvic exams and colposcopy.
• Administer medications under orders and manage IV therapy as allowed.
• Educate patients on treatments and care, coordinate referrals.
• Communicate with physicians and health care team; document patient information.
