Job summary

The Cancer Center of South Florida in Lakeland, FL is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care within the surgical oncology team. The APP will assist in the operating room and manage preoperative evaluations, orders, and documentation.

Responsibilities include post-operative handoffs, outpatient clinics, care coordination, symptom management, and patient education, all under physician supervision and organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Oncology experience preferred.
• Familiar with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) software, and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide assigned inpatient service coverage with daily rounds and coordination of care.
• Operating room coverage and perioperative support as credentialed, including first/second assistant roles when applicable.
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Coordinate outpatient clinic coverage, new and established patient follow-ups, and discharge planning.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
