Job summary

Cancer Center of South Florida is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient surgical oncology care as part of a physician-led team. The APP will perform preoperative evaluations, assist in the operating room, and coordinate perioperative care across the continuum.

The role requires active Florida NP or PA licensure with relevant board certification and involves extensive collaboration with surgeons, nursing staff, and allied professionals.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate from accredited Nursing Program.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient service coverage including daily rounds and evaluation of hospitalized patients.
• Operate with supervising physician; first or second assistant during procedures as credentialed.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up within APP scope.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and survivorship.
• Maintain clinical documentation according to policies and regulations.
