Job summary

Marin Community Clinics is seeking a GYN Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant to support gynecology clinics and care coordination across sites. The role includes patient intake, vital signs, specimen handling, and assisting physicians with procedures. Strong bilingual English/Spanish and MA certification are required.

The position is based in Marin County, with standard hours and occasional evenings or Saturdays as needed. Excellent teamwork and patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• MA certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Externship during MA program is a plus.
• Experience working in under-served communities in a clinic setting is highly desirable.
• Electronic Health Records experience is a plus.
• Strong computer experience with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to the exam room and record vital signs and basic measurements.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Assist doctors by passing instruments and materials as directed.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and operatory per policy and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain office and patient records, including data entry in the EHR.
• Perform administrative tasks: verify eligibility, demographics, scheduling follow-ups.
• Support GYN care coordination and follow-up management.
