Fox Valley Park District in Aurora, IL is seeking a Gymnastics/Tumbling/Cheer Instructor (Levels I–III) for our Eola/Prisco/Vaughan Community Centers. This part-time/seasonal role supports classes across the week and requires enthusiasm for teaching children of all ages and abilities.

The successful candidate will instruct lessons, follow safety procedures, and contribute to events and meets within a warm, community-focused program.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• USAG certifications preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsabilités

• Instruct class lessons as assigned and assist in preparing lesson plans.
• Develop positive relationships with participants and patrons.
• Follow all safety procedures; participate in staff meetings and trainings.
• General classroom management and instruction of routines; spotting students.
• Assist in equipment setup/cleanup and birthday parties; participate in meets and events.

RATE: $16/hour - minimum starting rate - depends on experience and qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Several Positions Available Must be a responsible and reliable person 16 yrs. or older. Preference given to candidates with experience teaching gymnastics. USAG certifications are preferred. Individual should be enthusiastic, creative, and a team player who enjoys working with children of all ages and abilities. Must be passionate about gymnastics and willing to learn and grow with our program. Good communication skills with the ability to provide quality customer service. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus. Ability to maintain discretion regarding confidential matters and/or information. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

DUTIES

Under the direction and supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Gymnastics/Tumbling Instructor is responsible for instructing class lessons as assigned, assist in preparation of lesson plans and developing positive relationships with participants and patrons. Individual will also be responsible for following all safety procedures, participating in staff meetings and trainings, general classroom management, skills instruction, instruction of routines, spotting students and participating in meets and special events as scheduled. Additional duties may include equipment set-up/clean-up and birthday parties. This is an at-will position.
