Job summary

The City of Lakewood is seeking a Recreation Coordinator for Gymnastics and Climbing Programs to develop, implement, and evaluate community activities. You will work with the Programs team in the Recreation Division and coordinate with City staff and partners to deliver high-quality programs and events.

Responsibilities include program oversight, budgeting support, staff supervision of seasonal employees, registration processing, customer service excellence, and ensuring safety and licensing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with an emphasis in Recreation, Exercise Science or related field.
• Two or more years of experience in recreation or related field preferred.
• One or more years’ experience supervising staff preferred.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates gymnastics and climbing programs.
• Collaborates with internal staff and external agencies on programming.
• Monitors program activities, reports, and maintains compliance with forms and licensing.
• Provides exceptional customer service and manages facilities and staff.
