Job summary

The Hampshire Regional YMCA is seeking a customer service–oriented Gym Supervisor to oversee daily gym and sports activities. You will engage with youth and adult members, ensure safety, enforce facility rules, and maintain a clean, welcoming space in the evenings and weekend shifts.

You'll cover front desk duties when needed, help with programming, and support housekeeping while building rapport with regular members and participants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year in a customer service or youth-focused role required.
• Comfort with computer software operation required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with youth, teens, and adults during gym activities and pickup games.
• Ensure safety and rule compliance for all members and participants.
• Build relationships with regular members and participants.
• Cover front desk duties when the gym is not actively in use.
• Assist with housekeeping to keep the gym clean and presentable.

The Hampshire Regional YMCA is seeking a new customer service-oriented member of our team! The Gym Supervisor is responsible for supervising assigned gym and sports activities, monitoring youth and adult pickup basketball activities, supporting positive member interactions, and ensuring that gym space and programming are accessible and equitable for members of all ages. The successful candidate takes initiative to identify and resolve issues, handles conflict calmly and effectively, and is excited to engage with both youth and adults.
