Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front desk staff and support the General Manager in daily club operations. The role focuses on delivering excellent member service and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

The candidate should multi-task in a fast-paced setting, communicate effectively with management, and meet deadlines while promoting the company’s mission and values. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associates preferred).
• 6 months supervisor/manager experience in a high-volume restaurant or retail setting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand and drive club metrics in line with business performance.
• Develop knowledge of club services, programs, and products, plus competitors.
• Assist in interviewing and recruitment with initial phone interviews.
• Monitor inventory and review sales numbers with GM to improve performance.
• Communicate and uphold company standards; maintain a clean, friendly club.
• Ensure staff punctuality, dress code, friendliness, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate cleaning duties and overnight staff oversight.
• Coordinate disciplinary actions with GM/Regional Manager/HR.
• Cover shifts when needed and assist with coverage.
