Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge of guitar across styles and skill levels.
• Ability to read guitar notation and/or tablature.
• Experience teaching guitar to children, youth, or adults preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication to build relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate guitar lessons tailored to each student.
• Develop structured lesson plans and curriculum aligned with program standards and Christian values.
• Teach proper guitar technique including hand position, fingerstyle and pick technique, chords, posture, and practice habits.
• Foster a Christ-centered, encouraging learning environment.
• Prepare students for recitals, showcases, and other milestones.
• Follow SRMA policies, safety procedures, and code of conduct.
