Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Room Attendant to clean guest rooms and public spaces and potentially assist in the laundry facility. You will follow brand standards, ensure total guest satisfaction, and support the housekeeping team in daily operations.

The role requires mobility, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred, with English proficiency and a team-focused mindset

Qualifications

• Some housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred.
• Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Will be required to regularly use commercial cleaning chemicals.
• Will be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests per G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Respond to guest complaints and requests and take corrective action to ensure satisfaction.
• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas per established standards; make beds, dust, vacuum, sanitize bathrooms, etc.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed and report rooms that cannot be serviced.
• Assist with laundry: monitor supplies, operate washers/dryers, inspect linens, store clean items.
• Minimize waste of supplies and amenities across housekeeping areas.
• May assist with deep cleaning projects.
• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Promote teamwork and coordination with other shifts and management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
