Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Room Attendant to join our housekeeping team. You will clean guest rooms and public areas to brand standards, and help ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. You may also assist in the on-site laundry and report maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Experience in extended stay industry preferred.
• Fluent English reading/writing preferred; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing and math abilities preferred.
• Frequently standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and handle cleaning chemicals.
• Able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sonesta Service in all interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Clean and service rooms and public areas according to standards; make beds, dust, vacuum, sanitize bathrooms.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed and report unserviceable rooms.
• Operate laundry tasks and manage linens when assigned.
• Minimize waste of supplies and assist with deep cleaning as needed.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other shifts and management.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
