Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance in Honolulu, HI, seeks a Guest Services and Traffic Attendant to welcome residents, guests and visitors, assist with luggage, and manage porte-cochere traffic while ensuring ADA compliance and safety.

The role offers full-time or part-time shifts in Waikiki, with daytime hours and a pay range of $20.00–$24.00 per hour. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a Hawaii driver’s license, and strong English skills; previous hospitality or valet experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass HBM prescreen check.
• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License required.
• Fluency in English is essential; Japanese is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry luggage weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Guest Assistance: Welcome guests and assist with luggage.
• Direct guests with luggage to ADA elevator; avoid escalators when transporting luggage.
• Help guests with lifting luggage up/down stairs when safe.
• Provide directions to amenities and lobby areas.
• Maintain a visible entrance presence to assist guests.
• Traffic & Porte Cochère Management: monitor and direct vehicle flow.
• Direct arriving/departing vehicles to loading/unloading locations.
• Coordinate with valet, security, and staff during peak times.
• Promote safe pedestrian and vehicle movement in front entrance.
