Job summary

Churchill Downs Louisiana Horseracing Co. is seeking a Guest Services Clerk to provide professional services across the Fair Grounds facility.

You may be assigned to roles such as Program Clerk, Admission Clerk, Usher, Program Runner, Gold Room Attendant, Will Call, or Shuttle Driver. The position requires handling cash, providing accurate information to guests, and maintaining positive relations with customers while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pari-mutuel industry and cash handling experience are desirable but not necessary.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accounts for all monies, physical inventories and coupons as required and reconciles daily cash handling.
• Ensures compliance with all operational and regulatory requirements.
• Disseminates accurate information to customers and escalates when needed.
• Creates and maintains a positive work environment fostering morale, quality and teamwork.
• Maintains positive relations with customers and provides satisfactory service.
• Anticipates and responds to a wide variety of customer needs quickly and efficiently.
• Consults with customers to maintain goodwill and resolves disputes by escalating when appropriate.
• Builds customer goodwill through proper etiquette techniques.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
