Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pari-mutuel industry and cash handling experience desirable but not required.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
• Excellent verbal communications skills with strong attention to detail.
• Be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to work overtime and flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation.
• Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from team members or staff.
• Ability to write and present information to management.
• Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in duties.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and variables.

Responsibilities

• Accounts for all monies, inventories and daily cash handling activities.
• Ensures compliance with all operational and regulatory requirements.
• Disseminates accurate information to customers about offerings and educates them as needed.
• Creates and maintains a positive morale, quality, creativity and teamwork.
• Maintains positive relations with customers and provides service meeting requirements.
• Anticipates and responds to a wide variety of customer needs quickly.
• Consults with customers to maintain goodwill; escalates disputes when appropriate.
• Builds customer goodwill through proper etiquette techniques.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
