Mt Southington Ski Area Inc is seeking a Guest Services Specialist to assist with ticket sales, rentals, and lesson packages. You will handle refunds, exchanges, and complex transactions while maintaining a high level of guest service and accurate POS records.

You must be able to work weekends and peak season hours, pass a background check, and be eligible to work in the United States. This on-site role includes ski/ride access benefits for employees.

Position SummaryThe Guest Services Specialist assists with ticket selling activity and works quickly to resolve guest concerns and questions. In addition to regular ticket sales, the Guest Service Specialist assists with refunds, adjustments, and complex transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with selling tickets, rentals, and lesson packages to individualsHandle refunds, exchanges, and adjustments according to mountain policyAssist ticket sellers with escalated guests concernsEnsure compliance with pricing structures and promotional policiesMaintain accurate cash handling and POS recordsHandle incoming phone calls to the mountain and assist guests promptly and professionallyAssist people operation team with common employee issues, questions, and documentation while maintaining high level of discretion and confidentialityAccurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay periodComplete all required training as determined by mountain leadershipOther duties as assigned by mountain leadershipQualificationsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to accurately handle cash and credit card transactionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to remain calm and solutions-oriented in high-volume environmentsStrong aptitude for guest serviceFlexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and peak season hoursMust be eligible to work in the United StatesSuccessful completion of background checkWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to work in an indoor location subject to temperature fluctuations, drafts, and intermittent exposure to outdoor weather conditions due to frequent operation of exterior doorsAbility to lift up to 25 lbsCompensation & BenefitsCompensation: $18.50/hourBenefits: Complimentary ski/ride access for the duration of employment and employee discounts on food and beverages at participating locations (subject to mountain policy)
