Job summary

Stein Garden Centers, Inc. is seeking an Associate-Guest Services - Service Desk to warmly greet shoppers and build relationships with customers at the Wauwatosa location.

You will assist guests, answer questions, process transactions at the POS, and support merchandising and store operations to ensure a smooth shopping experience. This role values a passion for horticulture and yard/home décor, excellent spoken and written communication, and the ability to multitask in indoor and outdoor

Qualifications

• Must have passion for horticulture, yard/home décor, and seasonal merchandise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional customer service.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team.
• Great organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly to create a welcoming environment.
• Assist customers, determine needs, and educate on selections.
• Support merchandising and operational procedures as directed by management.
• Maintain merchandise stock levels, quality and presentation; keep signage current.
• Operate the POS efficiently, process payments, and provide receipts.
• Cross-train across multiple departments.
• Assist with floral decorations and home décor displays.
• Clean fixtures, shelves, backrooms, bathrooms, and floors per policy.
• Participate in meetings and product knowledge sessions.
