Job summary

Glenview Community Ice Center in Glenview, IL is seeking a part-time Front Desk Staff member with availability for days, nights, weekends, and events. You will provide exceptional customer service, greet visitors, handle inquiries, register participants, and manage payments while maintaining a tidy front desk area.

The role requires strong communication, 2+ years of experience, and proficiency in Outlook/Word/Excel/Publisher.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and phone skills with a wide range of patrons.
• Ability to type at least 35 wpm and proofread/edit documents.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer questions about facilities and programs.
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Open and close front desk and offices.
• Register customers for programs, ice rentals, events and memberships; accept payments.
• Balance daily cash drawer and prepare bank deposits.
• Maintain front desk area and information kiosks; document incidents.
