Responsibilities include patrolling sites, reporting hazards, directing traffic and pedestrians, and assisting with incident documentation. FDNY Fire Guard and Flagger certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete incident reports and ensure doors are secured when closed.

A Guest Services Officer is the first person guests see when they come to Chelsea Piers. Officers set the initial expectation of customer service at Chelsea Piers. They must greet all customers professionally and courteously, assist them with questions, and give directions to specific sites. Guest Services Officers are also responsible for maintaining a safe place for all our customers and employees.Responsibilities:Greet visitors and provide information and directions courteously and professionallyMaintain safe, secure, and orderly sites and facilitiesDirect customer vehicles to proper parking locations and open spots, direct delivery and commercial vehicles to their drop-off and loading areas, direct cars, bikes, and pedestrians at crosswalksReport any/all hazardous situationsProhibit loitering, onsite consumption of alcohol, and use of illegal drugsAssist maintenance and parking departments when necessary, including seasonal snow removalWalk the site to guard against vandalism and theftMake scheduled facility rounds to ensure proper safety throughout the complexComplete accident reports when appropriateWhen closed, ensure all doors are securely locked and that there are no unauthorized persons in the complexReporting boat arrivals and departuresAbout You:You are friendly, outgoing, and enjoy working in a team environment.
