Job summary

Salinas Valley Health is seeking an Information Desk Supervisor within the Volunteer & Guest Services department to ensure smooth operation by guiding volunteers and assisting community members, patients, and visitors with information, directions, and hospitality. The role requires a minimum high school diploma, bilingual fluency assessment in Spanish, and community interpretation experience.

You will train and coach volunteers, coordinate with departments, and help maintain the Meditation Room

Qualifications

• Requires minimum high school diploma or GED.
• New hires/transfers must pass the Bilingual Fluency Assessment for Clinicians with a competent rating overall and 85%+ in Spanish Fluency prior to hire or transfer.
• Community interpretation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide information, directions, and hospitality.
• Supervise volunteers and coordinate Information Desk operations.
• Troubleshoot issues at the information desk and coordinate with departments as needed.
• Maintain awareness of hospital events and locations; assist with patient mail and flowers delivery.
• Collaborate with Patient Relations to meet service standards and train volunteers.
