Job summary

Rivers Casino Des Plaines is seeking a friendly front-of-house team member to greet guests, escort to tables, and manage reservations using OpenTable. You will learn regulars' names and maintain smiles while delivering menus and guiding guests to seating.

Responsibilities include handling phone inquiries, taking to-go orders, resolving complaints promptly, keeping dining areas clean, and supporting setup and resets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent and at least one year of experience in customer service.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers both on the phone and in person.
• Must be able to use basic computer skills for data entry and basic record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet customers promptly and courteously; address guests by name when possible.
• Escort customers to tables and provide menus; manage reservations and OpenTable notes.
• Answer phones and take/prepare to-go orders; relay to staff and assist with seating as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, ingredients, and daily specials; monitor wait lists and wait times.
• Manage customer complaints promptly and professionally; inform manager of resolution.
• Anticipate customer needs and respond to dining room emergencies or safety situations.
