Job summary

The Westin Edina Galleria in Edina, MN seeks a friendly Host to warmly welcome guests, manage seating, and optimize dining flow. You will greet guests, present menus, input reservations, and coordinate with servers to ensure a smooth, guest-centric experience.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in a similar role, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask calmly under pressure while maintaining Marriott standards.

Qualifications

• Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
• Minimum one year experience in a similar position with a full-service hotel or restaurant.
• Preference for MICROS POS experience.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage seating to optimize dining flow.
• Provide menus and host with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Enter and confirm guest information in the Reservation System and note preferences.
• Coordinate with servers to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Answer calls and emails and provide Marriott-standard service.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services, menu items, and liquor regulations.
