Job summary

The Lifesaving Station at The Sanderling Resort in Duck, North Carolina, seeks a Host to create a warm first impression by greeting guests, managing reservations, and guiding seating in a high-volume dining outlet.

You will work closely with Front of House teams to maintain smooth flow, provide accurate wait times, and uphold EOS Hospitality standards. This role requires excellent communication, a professional appearance, and flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous host or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage guest flow effectively.

• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally.
• Manage reservations using reservation system.
• Seat guests according to floor plans and rotations.
• Communicate table status with servers and supervisors.
• Provide accurate wait times and manage guest expectations.
• Answer phone and assist guests with reservations and inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand, lobby, and entrance areas.
• Monitor dining room flow and communicate pacing updates to leadership.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and with menu distribution as needed.
