Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group in Baton Rouge is seeking a Front Desk Agent to deliver outstanding guest services at check-in and check-out. You will handle PBX operations, mail and message services, and ensure accurate daily accounting procedures.

Responsibilities include pre-assigning rooms, assisting guests with local information, and maintaining cash and credit card transactions. Knowledge of yield management and hotel operations is a plus, with a strong emphasis on hospitality standards and guest

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures.
• Proficient in operating the Property Management System and PBX.

Responsibilities

• Consistently provide high level of customer service.
• Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms including VIPs, repeats, and special requests.
• Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner.
• Answer all phone calls promptly with complete and accurate information.
• Complete all items on appropriate checklists by end of shift.
• Follow established key control policy and verify credit limit report.
• Submit all lost & found articles with reports.
• Assist guests with Concierge services and local area knowledge.
• Be familiar with fire and emergency procedures.
• Balance daily shift bank and verify cash, checks, and card transactions.
• Monitor room availability and daily selling status using yield management tools.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
