Job summary

Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, SD is hiring a Part-Time Guest Services Representative to join the Box Office team. You will assist customers in person, by phone, or email, handle payments and transactions, and stay informed about events and exhibits.

A positive, guest-focused attitude is essential. The role offers an engaging, fast-paced environment with opportunities to learn the POS system and work with a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Customer service attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to learn point-of-sale system.
• Ability to handle and reconcile money.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by phone, in-person or email.
• Assure complete and prompt customer satisfaction.
• Utilize ticketing platform to complete customer transactions following procedures.
• Receive payment from the public for orders created using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle payments proficiently and balance daily sales report.
• Attend meetings and trainings; stay informed of events and exhibits.

Part-Time

Flexible Schedule - Weekdays & Weekends and some holidays

• Assist customers by phone, in-person or email.
• Assure that complete and prompt customer satisfaction is being achieved.
• Utilize ticketing platform to complete customer transactions while following standard operating procedures.
• Understand basic computer functions and sales practices.
• Receive payment from the public for orders which have been created using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle payments proficiently and balance individual closing sales report.
• Continue to improve performance skills by completing training and taking time to read all procedures thoroughly.
• Stay informed of all events and exhibits happening within the organization.
• Attend Box Office and All Staff meetings and previews of events/exhibits.
• Complete assigned projects, such as outbound phone calls, data entry and cleanup and mailing tickets or informational materials.
