Job summary

Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls seeks a part-time Preschool Assistant Teacher to support the Preschool Head Teacher in providing a safe, developmentally appropriate preschool program during the school year. They will adapt to changing situations, work with diverse groups of people, and assist with classroom management, parent communication, and lesson planning.

This is a Part Time, non-exempt (hourly) seasonal position running Monday–Friday 10:00am–1:00pm (25–30 hrs/week) during the 9-month

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, learning environment and assure the well-being and safety of children in their care.
• Maintain a cooperative attitude of working together with preschool teachers, volunteers, parents, and program specialists in implementing classroom activities.
• Help maintain discipline and supervision of children during all Pavilion Preschool activities.
• Prepare snacks daily and lead daily cleaning efforts.
• Assist with set up and clean-up of lunch each day.
• Other job related duties as assigned.

Washington Pavilion Management, Inc. seeks a part time Preschool Assistant Teacher who is responsible for assisting the Preschool Head Teacher in providing a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program using best practices during the school year preschool program. They will need to adapt easily to changing situations. They must be a person who enjoys working with young children and diverse groups of people. Preschool Assistant Teacher should be willing to assist Head Teacher in classroom management, preparation, parent communication, and lesson planning and implementation.

This is a Part Time, non-exempt (hourly) position. Seasonal position- End of August to End of May –. Hours: Monday- Friday between 10:00am-1:00pm (25-30 hrs./week) This position follows the school year and is a 9-month position.

Pays $15-$16/hr
