Job summary

My Place Hotel in Dickinson is seeking a dependable Guest Service Representative to support front desk operations and daily hotel functions. This role blends guest-facing service with operational support, ensuring smooth check-ins, accurate records, and a clean, safe, and welcoming property.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for guests during arrival, stay, and departure.
• Complete reservations, check-ins, and check-outs using hotel systems.
• Post and verify charges including room rates, taxes, My Store purchases, and pet fees.

• Complete Laundry and cleaning tasks.
• Complete laundry, stocking supplies, and sanitizing common areas.
• Maintain the coffee bar and lobby.
• Clear snow and ice from entrances and sidewalks as needed.
• Deliver guest items such as towels, cribs, and toiletries.
• Issue and track keys and key cards for housekeeping and maintenance.
• Support housekeeping with guest room cleaning during high occupancy or staffing shortages.
• Answer and route incoming calls using proper phone etiquette.
• Record messages accurately and manage guest wake-up requests.
• Process credit card authorizations and cash transactions.
• Maintain accurate shift paperwork including call logs, cash logs, and Night Audit documentation.
• Keep the Front Desk Log current and report operational or maintenance concerns to the General Manager.
• Follow all safety and security procedures.
• Conduct routine walkthroughs of floors, stairwells, entrances, and exterior areas.
• Monitor doors and lighting to ensure a secure environment.
