Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring a Guest Services Representative to warmly greet guests, help them select the perfect cake, and ensure orders are accurate and timely. You will learn NbC cake distinctions, assist with add-ons, and keep the bakery organized while building a welcoming community presence.

Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, encouraging email club sign-ups, and supporting event-related merchandising. Flexible shifts are available to fit business needs.

Qualifications

• Greet guests warmly and determine interests and needs.
• Educate guests on NbC cake options, sizes, prices and promotions.
• Suggest add-ons to complete celebrations (balloons, cards, candles).
• Help guests with accurate, efficient order processing.

• Greet walk-in guests and callers with friendly enthusiasm.
• Maintain knowledge of cake varieties and pricing to assist customers.
• Process orders quickly using the POS and invite to NbC Email Club.
• Keep bakery clean and presentable, restock shelves and displays.

Accountabilities/Duties:

• Promptly greets walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs, and follows NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience.
• Maintains strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions, and complimentary retail merchandise.
• Suggests additional merchandise, including balloons, candles, and cards, to complete a unique celebration.
• Processes guest orders efficiently and accurately utilizing the point-of-sale system and invite guests to join NbC Email Club to benefit from special promotions and remain connected.
• Upholds a clean and organized bakery presentation, which may include routine sweeping/mopping of the floor, and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows, and other surfaces.
• Replenishes retail merchandise and cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation.
• Assists the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed.
• Help open and close bakery including closing down registers.
• Learn to help build marketing email lists to help find potential fundraiser avenues.

Work Availability:

Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
