Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in Council Bluffs is hiring a Guest Services Representative to create a welcoming bakery experience and help guests choose the perfect cake for celebrations.

You will lead customers through ordering, learn NbC cake distinctions, and promote bundles and promotions while ensuring smooth operations and a friendly, joyful atmosphere in the community.

Responsibilities

• Greets walk-in and phone guests with warmth and enthusiasm to determine interests and needs.
• Educates guests on NbC cake distinctions, sizes, flavors, pricing, promotions, and merchandise.
• Assists customers in selecting additional items like balloons, candles, and cards for celebrations.
• Processes orders accurately using the point-of-sale system and invites guests to join NbC Email Club.
• Maintains clean, organized bakery presentation and replenishes merchandise and display cases.
• Assists Crafter with decorations and packaging supplies as needed.
• Helps open/close bakery and manage registers.
• Supports building marketing email lists for potential fundraiser opportunities.

Accountabilities/Duties:

• Promptly greets walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs, and follows NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience.


• Maintains strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions, and complimentary retail merchandise.


• Suggests additional merchandise, including balloons, candles, and cards, to complete a unique celebration.


• Processes guest orders efficiently and accurately utilizing the point-of-sale system and invite guests to join NbC Email Club to benefit from special promotions and remain connected.


• Upholds a clean and organized bakery presentation, which may include routine sweeping/mopping of the floor, and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows, and other surfaces.


• Replenishes retail merchandise and cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation.


• Assists the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed.


• Help open and close bakery including closing down registers.


• Learn to help build marketing email lists to help find potential fundraiser avenues.
